Taste of South Tampa Tickets Now On Sale
Tampa, FL – March 2010. Tickets are now available for purchase for the Fifth Annual Taste of South Tampa, sponsored by the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce. The event will take place Sunday April 25, 2010 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Hyde Park Village. Like past years' events, attendees should expect a day full of delicious food and live entertainment in the beautiful setting of Hyde Park Village.
Unlike other tasting events that charge per taste, the Taste of South Tampa offers its attendees all-inclusive food and beverage with their admission. Attendees will get the opportunity to sample menu items from a number of South Tampa restaurants. Water and soft drinks will be available, as well as beer provided by Dos Equis for those of drinking age with proper identification. With advance purchase, regular admission tickets are $35 per person, or $20 for ages 11 to 20. Kids 10 and under receive free admission. On the day of the event, ticket prices increase $5, pending availability.
We are also really excited about our VIP Lounge this year! Our team has revamped the VIP area so that those who choose to upgrade will definitely feel special with the VIP treatment. For an additional $15, VIP attendees will be able enjoy wine provided by Barefoot Wines and Bubbly, as well as champagne. The VIP lounge this year will feature air conditioning and private restrooms, furniture to lounge on and complimentary chair massages. Each VIP attendee will also receive a goodie bag with treats from sponsors and shops in Hyde Park Village. As in prior years, the VIP tickets, limited to 350, are expected to sell-out far in advance of the event.
Sponsors such as The St. Petersburg Times, tbt*, Q105 and Verizon Fios make this event possible, which has in past years raised over $25,000 for local charities. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Special Olympics Hillsborough County and Best Buddies and a portion of the proceeds will be distributed back to the community through the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce Michael J. Cruz Fund.
